A Modular Approach to Specify and Test anElectrical Flight Control

The goal of this paper is to describe how to apply a rigorous framework for modular speciication and validation to a real-time critical system. We are especially interested in generation of functional test sets from a structured speciication of the system. We adopt a theoretical framework for black-box testing from formal spec-iications. Thanks to our modular speciication framework, we can take into account diierent test levels: unit test of basic components, integration tests of interconnection and test of clusters of components represented by a global speciication of the system. Existing tools associated to the modular speciication framework or testing activities from non modular speciications are extended to deal with testing activities based on modular speciications.
